Early morning in the Bavarian woods. Christoph, suffering from a severe hang-over, sits next to his
mother on a high seat. While she is aiming at a deer, Christoph tries to make up his mind. He’s had
the plan to come out to her, but this really doesn’t seem like the best time. He checks his breath,
screws up his courage and tries to tell her – simultaneously she fires a shot. Everything goes wrong
and if that wasn’t enough, his boyfriend is about to arrive.

2034 – The Moon is moving towards the Earth. Exact time as much as the consequences of the impact are unknown. Two different groups of Teenagers are meeting each other on one of the last days of earth. What happens then has everything and nothing to do with the approaching moon.

DIRECTORS STATEMENT
The Special Thing in the Work for “Motten” was, despite the extraordinary setting, the development process. Each of the characters was especially written for the cast members. Every view, and non-view was rehearsed and then brought to paper. The Love, which reaches its climax in its non-fullfilment, is conservated in the acting between the protagonsits. So it becomes eternal. The powerlessness caused by the nearing apocalypse, and the strength of the hidden feelings, for which none of the kids found the right speech yet, are in a constant fight of power. This flickering of everything what we don’t see, in a setting that already sets the lines, is for me “ MOTTEN”.
