"ECHT" is a contemporary adaptation of the Norwegian drama series "Lik meg" for children around the age of ten. The story takes place in a sixth-grade classroom and deals with one of the most important themes for children of this age: What constitutes true friendship? In the second season, a girl and a boy take center stage, sharing a secret. As they face prejudices from their cliques and become entangled in a web of lies, the two increasingly find themselves in conflicts of loyalty.

2034 – The Moon is moving towards the Earth. Exact time as much as the consequences of the impact are unknown. Two different groups of Teenagers are meeting each other on one of the last days of earth. What happens then has everything and nothing to do with the approaching moon.
DIRECTORS STATEMENT
The Special Thing in the Work for “Motten” was, despite the extraordinary setting, the development process. Each of the characters was especially written for the cast members. Every view, and non-view was rehearsed and then brought to paper. The Love, which reaches its climax in its non-fullfilment, is conservated in the acting between the protagonsits. So it becomes eternal. The powerlessness caused by the nearing apocalypse, and the strength of the hidden feelings, for which none of the kids found the right speech yet, are in a constant fight of power. This flickering of everything what we don’t see, in a setting that already sets the lines, is for me “ MOTTEN”.

Ariel loves Jolene. Jolene loves Ariel. Even after 180 years the young Siren Ariel loves his girlfriend Jolene like the day they fell in love. This way of constant true loving is typical for Mermaids. Jolene loves Ariel as much as a human can love a siren. But 180 years are a long time and slowly doubts are growing inside her.
DIRECTORS STATEMENT
"You will find, that there's a certain grace in having your heart broken" (Lena Dunham)
„A globster is an unidentified organic mass that washes up on the shoreline of an ocean or other body of water. A globster is distinguished from a normal beached carcass by being hard to identify, at least by initial untrained observers, and by creating controversy as to its identity.“ Wikipedia
I guess there is no topic in literature, music, image, film and every other kind of art, that has been more often us as Inspiration than this powerfull word_ “Love”. How pretentious and boring to claim that “globster” is all about this sense of life. But still we tried. This little 8minute film arrogates itself to tell the viewer a tiny story about love. And Pride. And what happens afterwards.
